Why is NOWL built differently?

Legacy scanners were built for hand-written enterprise code. NOWL was built in 2026 for code an LLM wrote — a different threat model and a different rule set. We add AI-native rules most scanners do not have (slopsquatting, prompt injection, hallucinated-package detection) and close the loop: scan to AI fix to GitHub PR, in one dashboard. Flat fee, no per-seat charges.

What is a "scan right"?

One scan right = one repo scan from your connected GitHub installation. NOWL only scans private repositories from your GitHub App installation — public repos and arbitrary URL submissions are not supported. Free includes 2/month with Tier 1 findings visible. Pro adds Tier 2+3 and Fix with AI. Max adds priority queue and unlimited seats.

What happens when I run out of Fix with AI credits?

Hard block. NOWL never invoices overage. If you exhaust Fix with AI credits mid-month, the feature pauses until your next billing period — or you can upgrade. Deliberate choice: unpredictable bills are how budgets blow up. Scan rights are tracked separately and are not affected.

Can I downgrade or cancel anytime?

Yes. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period (you keep paid features until then). Cancellation works the same way. No retention games, no email funnels. Stripe Customer Portal handles everything.

What stages does my source code go through?

Accepted Answer

The source code is loaded into a temporary thread during a scan and is then deleted. The findings (anonymised for privacy — with the repository URL removed) are stored for auditing purposes. Adding the findings to the general database is optional per scan — Settings > Privacy.
